This is a video that shows the design workflow of a small boat in Autodesk Inventor. The video is speeded up to reduce the total video length. If you want the full length video, leave me a comment and I will share it with you.
I've added a cool Autodesk Showcase animation that shows the finished result, I use Autodesk Showcase, because it's render quality is much better than that of Autodesk Inventor.
I mainly use surface modeling in Autodesk Inventor as a start, which gives you a lot more freedom in the design. Later on I use Autodesk Inventor commands like Thicken and sculpt to create the final 3D solids.
In a previous video I showed the design workflow of a small boat in Autodesk Inventor. I recieved some comments that the boat wasn't complete, which is true :D. So I decided to do a "Part II" video on the boat with some nice complex Autodesk Inventor modeling techniques. The Autodesk Inventor model used for this video is the end result of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi6-L...
For almost all complex Autodesk Inventor models I start with surface modeling to create some geometry to work with. This Autodesk Inventor tutorial is another good demonstration of that. You'll see that once some surface geometry is created, the rest is very easy.
The entire video is created with Autodesk Inventor, no other rendering software was used
If you have any questions about this Autodesk Inventor tutorial, let me know in a comment and I'll try to reply.
